CrowdStream - “Danube Crowd Day” in Wiener Neustadt / Austria

11-09-2018

A transnational “Danube Crowd Day” was organized by the Austrian project partners of CrowdStream in Wiener Neustadt (Austria) on Tuesday, September 6th, 2018. This interactive networking event brought together project partners, crowdfunding experts and key stakeholders representing public authorities and innovation actors from the nine project regions of the Danube area.

Following an introduction about the CrowdStream approach to improve framework conditions for alternative finance in the Danube area, crowdfunding experts from different platforms and campaigning practitioners presented good practices and innovative CF initiatives. The focus of audience questions during the panel discussion was on the motivation of local crowds and the wide-spread impact of crowdfunding campaigns on local target groups. During the transnational networking possibility a number of new cooperation ideas emerged which will be followed up in the CrowdStream pilot phase.

The “Danube Crowd Day” as a publicly open joint event was organized within the frame of the two-day Austrian “Field Mission”. As a transnational learning interaction, the Field Mission provided CrowdStream project partners and key local stakeholders with an opportunity to discuss the implementation of ongoing regional pilot actions and strategies to improve access to alternative finance for local SMEs and start-ups.
