On 13th August 2018, the Prime Minister of Republic of Serbia Ms. Ana Brnabić visited National Park Iron Gate, local partner of Danube Competence Centre in the GREEN DANUBE project.

During the visit, director of the National Park, Lazar Mitrović presented achieved results and plans of the institution highlighting their role in environment protection and sustainable use of natural resources for tourism development mentioning that projects like GREEN DANUBE are excellent opportunities for cooperation and capacity building among organisations across Europe.

Prime Minister Ms. Ana Brnabić attended the educational workshop held in the premises of the recently opened Environmental Information Center which was set-up in the framework of GREEN DANUBE transnational project.

Ms. Brnabić expressed her satisfaction with such actions which are excellent occasions for the National Park to raise awareness about the necessity of environment protection not only to the local population but also to tourists coming to Serbia from all over the world.
