CLIMATHON is an annual event, which in the recent past has grown to a global movement. Registered cities first identify their climate challenges and call on their citizens to come up with innovative solutions.

Registration for cities is open until end August, and city authorities will find assistance, information on e.g. how to recruit citizens here:  https://climathon.climate-kic.org/faq/city-hosts

After cities have defined their challenge(s), interested citizens can register (starting in September) for the actual Climathon, which this year takes place on 26 October. Participants of different age, education, scientific background, but all with a sincere eco-spirit, will put their brains together in order to create solutions for their city´s problem. “It is a real climate change hackathon – where the magic happens somewhere during the 24 hours.” 

Some cities from Danube Region countries have registered already, but doesn´t this image still look pretty empty?
