Kobarid, 1st of August 2018: Around 67 young people from the European Youth Symphony Orchestra leaded by Italian conductor Igor Corettti Kuret played together 1 hour and a half long concert. The concert was dedicated to 100-year anniversary of the end of WWI. The concert started with speech of Kobarid Mayor Mr. Robert Kavčič, later on 11 youngsters from different European countries signed symbolic commitment to peace. The main idea of the event was to encourage respect between nations and to highlight the importance of Peace.

The honorary patrons of the concert »Drums of Peace« were:

• the President of the republic of Slovenia, Mr. Borut Pahor, 
• the President of republic of Italy, Mr. Sergio Mattarelle and 
• the European Parliament.

The event was organized by Soča Valley Development Centre, Foundation Walk of Peace, Municipality Kobarid and Kobarid museum.

The event was co-financed by NETWORLD project, funded by the ERDF and IPA
