MOVECO partner Europa Consortium, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) from Hungary, organized a staff exchange and international workshop in Budapest (Hungary) on May 22nd and 23rd, 2018.
Two MOVECO project partners from Slovakia and Slovenia, the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of Slovenia, visited Europa Consortium for a staff exchange on May 22nd, 2018.
Staff exchange and current conditions for circular economy in Hungary
During the staff exchange, Europa Consortium presented its fields of activity, including social innovation, youth, education, nature and environment protection, tourism and regional development projects. In the discussion session, project partners exchanged ideas on the state of research and development in the Danube Region, and on the current conditions for transition to a circular economy in Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. We also worked on the preparation of the project’s Transnational Strategy on Circular Economy and its three Cross-Country Road Maps to be delivered by December 2018 and May 2019, respectively.
International circular economy workshop on May 23th, 2018
Europa Consortium, the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of Slovenia were joined by the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary, KÖVET Association for Sustainable Economies and Foundation for Circular Economy. Both ministries of Hungary and Slovenia focused on the circular economy legislation process in their contributions, while the other participants emphasized the NGO perception of the issue. During the roundtable discussion session workshop participants discussed the MOVECO project’s transnational strategy to be developed as well as its cross-border road maps, and their development methodologies. Each participant expressed its commitment to prospective co-operation in giving mutual help, sharing information, and networking.
