NETWORLD - Maritime Forum 2018 in Bulgaria

Maritime Forum 2018 was organized at hotel Perseus near Varna on 20-21 June, 2018. Varna Economic Development Agency (VEDA) presented Danube Transnational Programme and NETWORLD project to the participants and guests of the Forum, among which were representatives of the National Parliament, Ministry of Transport, Information Technologies and Communication, District Governor Administration , Bulgarian Science Academy, Federation of Scientific & Technical Unions in Bulgaria, Scientific and Technical Union of Transport, Technical University of Varna, Naval Academy in Varna, State Archive, Maritime Administration, Regional Cluster North-East, Varna Trade and Industry Chamber, Varna Tourism Chamber, Maritime Chamber, Varna Port, biggest road construction companies from Varna and Shumen, and others.

The audience showed interest towards Programme priority 2 and opportunities for funding  projects that contribute to low-carbon and safe transport systems, including inland waterways & ports, to sustainable regional and local mobility, modal integration and intelligent transport. VEDA representatives answered the questions about First World War’s protected sites in Bulgaria as well as for the NETWORLD project achievement and results.
