EcoInn Danube - Policy Dialog Event and 11th Forum for Innovation

The EcoInn Danube project was presented during Policy Dialog Event and 11th Forum for Innovation held in Bucharest on 24th and 25th of May at the University “Politechnica”.

The event was implemented by the INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme and co-financed by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA). The goal of the event was to discover, develop, and disseminate best practices, in the areas of innovation and general management as well as to identify necessary policies in the field.

On the first day of the event Mrs Iliana Philipova, EcoInn Project manager and Executive director of Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Vratsa, participated at the panel “Implementation of Local Action Plans within Made in Danube Project and INTERREG DTP Capitalization Strategy”. She presented the “Implementation of LAPs and Capitalization Strategy within EcoInn Danube project”. EcoInn project Summary and Status of implementation were presented as also the Local action plan in form of Pilot actions, addressing the Capitalization Strategy. National reports on Obstacles and Opportunities, National reports on Existing Structures for support of eco-innovation and SWOT analyzes were also mentioned as implemented local actions within the project.

On the second day during the 1st panel the “Success Stories in the field of bio-economy and innovations within EcoInn Danube Project” were presented by Mrs Philipova. Best practices as the pilot actions Green Summer school and Green Innovation forum were shared with the audience. They were followed by presentation of the results from the Local roundtables of stakeholders, International Stakeholders meeting, Stakeholders map, Local workshops and Transnational workshops and matchmaking events. The main focus was on the EcoInn Danube Virtual lab – online platform where eco-innovators can match their profiles, publish ideas for ecoinnovations, submit offers for challenge or solution proposals and interconnect with experts from various countries and sectors. It’s functions and applications were visualized thanks to the newly created EcoInn Virtual lab video, presented for the first time.
