“Sustainable Mobility along the Danube – new ways of cooperation“

Mid-Term Conference in the project Transdanube.Pearls

In the course of the Mid-Term Conference, experts will present future-oriented and integrated sustainable mobility and tourism services. Roam across the marketplace of new, innovative mobility and information services along the Danube and get in touch with international experts from these particular fields.

Representatives of existing transnational networks will emphasize the importance and the benefits of cooperation – across sectors and borders. The results will be outlined in a panel discussion with policy-makers and practitioners from the Danube region at the end of the conference.

The conference is addressing representatives from the tourism and mobility sector and interested citizens. Project partners from 9 Danube countries will attend the conference.

The conference is organised in the context of the EU project „Transdanube.Pearls“ and in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg.

A total of 14 project partners from 9 Danube countries are involved in the EU project “Transdanube.Pearls” which is co-funded by European Union Funds (ERDF, IPA) until June 2019. The central element of the project is the establishment of a network of destinations (“Transdanube.Pearls”) committed to sustainable mobility for tourists and local inhabitants along the Danube. This network will support cooperation between different stakeholders from the transport and the tourism sectors and elaborate new sustainable mobility and tourism offers and information services for tourists and local citizens.

Further information and a detailed agenda will be provided during the next weeks. The working languages of the conference will be German and English. A simultaneous translation will be provided.
