Learning by Doing - JOB FAIR IN VARAZDIN

14-05-2018

On April 12th 2018, the Croatian Chamber of Economy Varaždin County Chamber organized the exhibition and presentation of the project Learning by Doing that promotes vocational education at the Job Fair in Varazdin.

The Project was introduced to all participants – companies, students, professionals and unemployed people of various professions and, also the wider public. They were all informed about the main goals of the Project Learning by Doing - targeted capacity building of VET partnerships in the Danube Region for the effective modernization of VET system.

During the Fair, representatives of Chamber invited them all to participate actively in the project implementation, i.e. in workshops, meetings and other activities organized in the frame of the project.

There were more than 3.000 visitors at the Fair, out of which more than 700 primary school final year students and over 1.800 unemployed people of different occupations. Job Fair gathered over 50 employers from various branches and industries which offered over 750 vacancies.

One of the main goals of the Fair was to present the job offer and demand at one place, i.e. to provide an opportunity for all those who want to participate actively in the labor market to make direct contact with employers.

The intention of the Croatian Chamber of Economy Varaždin County Chamber was thus to improve the communication between educational institutions, decision-makers and entrepreneurs to provide employers with the right and required workforce.
