From the 16th – 19th of April 2018 the Transport Research Arena (TRA) was organized in Vienna under the topic of "A digital era for transport - solutions for society, economy and environment" (link: https://www.traconference.eu/), which is Europe's largest transport research conference.

This year  more than 3,500 visitors from science, industry and politics attended the conference.  Over 100 sessions with more than 8,500 minutes of scientific discussion and more than 90 exhibitors. The conference included also some presentations on the topic of inland waterway transport and ports and the challenges of the future (e.g. digitalization, environmental issues and training issues). Especially the human factor was discussed in various sessions.

FHOO presented a poster on the topic of “Measuring the environmental performance of logistical activities – Creating a set of environmental key performance indicators for inland ports” at the TRA Marketplace. The poster was displayed the conference for the last two days and folders from the DAPhNE project as well as handouts were provided for participants.
