NETWORLD - 100 YEARS OF SOLITUDE UNDER THE SEA
10-04-2018
Institution INOVAcija has prepared an exhibition with the mysterious title "100 years of solitude under the sea".
It has been nearly a hundred years since the Austro-Hungarian beauty, the battleship of Szent István, lies at the sea bottom not far from Premuda Island. At that time, Szent István was the largest and most modern Austro-Hungarian battleship and, as such, the pride of the imperial fleet.
On June 10, 1918, the Italian torpedo boat sentenced him to be at 66 meters deep forever. The ship's wreck was protected in 1995 and is considered as one of the largest and most beautiful monuments of the Croatian submarine.
For this great anniversary, Institution INOVAcija has prepared and set up an exhibition of photos and images of this battalion. The exhibition is organized within the framework of the NETWORLD project financed from the Danube transnational programme. The exhibition can be visited in place called "Mali arsenal" every day from 10am to 12pm and from 6pm to 8pm until Sunday, 22nd April 2018.
The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the social and economic impacts of the First World War and contribute to the development of cultural tourism.
The total budget of the project is 1.869.698,00 EUR, of which, for INOVAcija was approved EUR 114.278,00.
