Made in Danube - Presentation to Provincial Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport, of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina

This Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina covers, among others, issues related to renewable energy. In March a meeting with the new head of Renewable Energy Unit and Secretary Assistant, M.Sc. Rudolf Tot and project partner Facutly of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad (represented by Prof. Dr. Milan Martinov) was organized. Features and activities of the Made in Danube project were presented as well as the expected outcomes.

Mr. Tot agreed to the importance of innovation in the bioenergy sector which is addressed in the Made in Danube project. It was agreed that a special focus should be on improving biomass appliances, manufactured and used in the region and all of Serbia, regarding the increase of reduction of pollutant emissions and the increase of overall efficiency. Further, the issue of biogas plants and the need of advancements in this sector were stressed.

The Local Action Plan for Biofuels which has been developed within the Made in Danube project was presented and one copy of the material was delivered to the Secretariat. Mr. Tot was informed about upcoming activities of Made in Danube.

Professor Martinov has further offered to present Made in Danube on future official events hosted by the Provincial Secretariat.
