The ITB Berlin (Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin) is the world's largest tourism trade fair. The companies represented at the fair include hotels, tourist boards, tour operators, system providers, airlines and car rental companies.

The thematically ordered market segments help visitors and exhibitors to quickly find their way through the wide product range of ITB Berlin: Book World, Business Travel Days, Cruises, Cultural Tourism, Economy Accommodation, eTravel World, Adventure & Responsible Tourism, Gay & Lesbian Travel, ITB Mobile Travel Services, Training and Employment (Career Center), Travel Technology, Trends & Events, Wellness, Youth Travel.

Global Geoparks were presented in the Adventure & Responsible Tourism hall. There were eight booths on which were represented 20 different Global Geoparks during the fair.

Idrija Heritage centre as coordinator of Idrija Unesco Global Geopark and also the lead partner of the project Danube GeoTour presented it at the fair. Next year the Danube GeoTour will be presented at the ITB fair again, even bigger. For this purpose the project partners team from Bakony-Balaton Unesco Global Geopark, Idrija Unesco Global Geopark, Naturtejo Meseta Meridional Unesco Global Geopark, Rokua Unesco Global Geopark and coordinator of EGN and the president of GGN network, Nikolaos Zouros  had a meeting there (the last three are associated strategic partners). They were talking about the organization and presentation of Interreg Danube GeoTour at ITB Berlin 2019.
