Transdanube.Pearls - presented at the ITB in Berlin

08-03-2018

On 8 March 2018, the project Transdanube.Pearls was presented at this year’s ITB on the “Adventure Stage.” In line with this topic, the project manager Andreas Friedwagner reported on his experiences during the 22 days travel along the Danube in Summer 2017 by using only sustainable means of transport. One of the advantages of travelling without a private car was to get easily in touch with local people and thereby to discover the region and the culture. According to him, travelling with sustainable means of transport made the journey much more adventurous and astonishing and turned out to be an unique lifetime experience every tourist should undergo.

In this context he once more highlighted the contribution of the project Transdanube.Pearls for increasing the attractiveness of the Danube region for visitors by providing a comprehensive set of sustainably mobility and tourism offers and information.

Visitors and experts attending the session used the chance to discuss the topic of sustainable mobility in tourism.

In addition to that, visitors of the ITB had the chance to learn more about the project Transdanube.Pearls at the stall of the Danube Competence Center.
