European Cooperation Day 2016

04-08-2016

European Cooperation Day is celebrated on 21 September and surrounding week(s) in Europe and its neighbourhood to promote and disseminate results achieved through territorial cooperation.

In 2016, it will be the fifth anniversary of this initiative to show local communities the results of Interreg and ENI funded projects as well as the significance of territorial cooperation.

Over 700 local events have been organised in the past four years to communicate the achievements of European cooperation across borders to the general public. It is a celebration of regions working together.

European Cooperation Day is performed by Interreg and ENI programmes, coordinated by the Interact Programme and supported by the European Commission, European Parliament and Committee of the Regions. For more information, please visit: http://www.ecday.eu/.

The Danube Transnational Programme joins the initiative with the event BLUE DANUBE - Danube Transnational Programme: Key instrument for supporting water as a transnational resource to be organised in Bucharest, 29th September 2016.
