Let us introduce you two women, whom have a prosperous company of their own. Read their personal and touchy stories from the beginnings to the present.

“As a woman, a lady, a single mother, I have encountered many obstacles in terms of finding a market, engaging in quality workforce, paying for a job, coping with enormous prejudices when my nationality is at stake.

We also need to point out to the Roma community how important is the education segment for men and women, because only an educated person has the opportunity to compete in the labor market and thus secure the economic security of their family and the emergence of poverty.”- Pava Čabrilovski starts her story.

Through life I encountered many obstacles, but I never give up, for every problem I was sure that there was a solution sometimes because always belive in motto, "if there is a will, always find the way"

I started my business after finishing secondary school.I graduated at the Faculty of Economics, but my education has not been completed I am on master studies now. After completing my studies I could not find a job in my profession and I decided to start my own company. My company "Pava Plus" D.O.O which was founded in 2007, I am engaged in the provision of hygiene services. I was aware that this is a big risk, but the lack of work in the labor market and the desire for economic empowerment and independence, as well as the numerous conditions set by the employee in the search for work have led me to face the fear and go into an unknown, many challenges, and all for better tomorrow. I decided to engage in this activity for the simple reason that it did not require big start up capital, and the will of desire and quality work were just the conditions to start. If my company deals with cleaning, many think that it is just a physically difficult job, however requires good organization and responsibility. It's an expansion business that will become an integral part of every company in the future.Today I have eleven women in my company, of which there are six Roma women. The most vulnerable categories within the Roma community are women, the great influence of tradition and custom affects the fact that female Roma girls do not usually finish elementary school, but do not establish a working relationship. Female Roma women give birth to four or more children, are economically dependent on their husbands, and do not rarely suffer of discrimination and violence, which they do not recognize because they are taught to "that’s how it must to be"! As a woman, a lady, a single mother, I have encountered many obstacles in terms of finding a market, engaging in quality workforce, paying for a job, coping with enormous prejudices when is at stake my nationalit. My role in the Roma community is multiple, I have been engaged as a coordinator for Roma issues in the city administration of Pančevo, the president of the Council for the Integration of Roma in AP Vojvodina. All this in order to contribute to change in order to overcome the problems faced by women, and for this they are systemic solutions, we also need to point out to the Roma community how important is the education segment for men and women, because only an educated person has the opportunity to compete in the labor market and thus secure the economic security of their family and the emergence of poverty. My personal attitude to subsidies is positive, because I used them. It was important to me that the state, provinces and localities recognized me as a minority in need of support, a person who can reach all the obligations arising from subsidies, whether it be the start of business or employment of persons and the creation of new jobs. This kind of support gave me some security and motivation for further advancement in business. What I consider to be a lack related to the Roma population is the insufficient awareness that obligations arise from the law. Also, insufficient information, instruction, what, how, what steps to take and in which order. My recommendation is not to give up the business ideas they have. To consult with someone who knows the topic, whether they are people in the employment service or some of the Roma who have used subsidies, must have confidence in them to ask the question and every information will use them in starting a business.
