The 6th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), jointly organised by Hungary (which holds the current presidency of the EUSDR), the European Commission and the Danube Transnational Programme, will take place on October 18-19, 2017, in Budapest.
Under the title of “A Secure, Connected and Prospering Danube Region”, the forum will focus on the different challenges related to energy security, transportation development, clean connectivity and financing. The key question to answer will be how to best transform political commitments into operational policies and measures.
The JOINTISZA project — one of four projects cooperating in Thematic Pole 4 of the Capitalisation Strategy of the DTP connected to water management — will play an active role in the capitalisation workshop titled “Danube Transnational Programme Capitalisation: Better water management for more connected and energy efficient Danube region”. The workshop will take place on October 19 (Thursday) from 10:30 to 11:30 (Bartók room). The general aim of the workshop is to strengthen the networking capacity of stakeholders through the creation of a discussion platform.
Join us on Thursday for a lively and interactive discussion addressing a wide range of issues, such as: steering land use to safeguard water resources and reduce flood risk (CAMARO-D); coordinating sediment management along the Danube River (DanubeSediment); developing an integrated river basin and flood risk management plan for the Tisza River Basin (JOINTISZA); and improving drought monitoring, management and emergency response in the Danube Region (Dri-Danube).
Also, please stop by and visit the JOINTISZA stand in the Exhibition Area, where JOINTISZA team members look forward to welcoming you and to sharing first-hand updates on project activities and to exchange ideas and knowledge on current developments regarding water-related issues in the Tisza River Basin.
If you will not be attending the 6th Annual Forum of the EUSDR but are interested in following the workshop, please tune in on Facebook to stream live debates from the workshop.
