DTP in the EUSDR Seminar on European funding opportunities in the water sector

DTP JS attends the “Second Stakeholder Seminar of the EUSDR – Water Quality (PA4) and Environmental Risks (PA5) Priority Areas” addressing “European funding opportunities in the water sector” which took place in Budapest on 19 and 20 November 2015.

The Stakeholder Seminar aimed at providing an overview about the water-related Priority Areas, at presenting the results achieved and at providing information about funding instruments. The Stakeholder seminar offered also a possibility for partner search presenting country needs and assist in the alignment of funding procedures for future project beneficiaries by promoting further project ideas. Among the different funding sources presented, besides the DTP, the Central Europe Programme, Horizon 2020, LIFE, Cross-Border Cooperation programmes, European Investment Bank.

The Danube Transnational Programme Joint Secretariat presented an overview of the possibilities of funding offered under its Specific Objective 2.1 “Strengthen transnational water management and flood risk prevention” and Specific Objective 2.4 “Improve preparedness for environmental risk management”. Participants received an overview of the rules applicable for submitting a proposal under the DTP, as well as hints and tips for submitting a successful proposal.
