FORESDA - 3rd project meeting in Sopron, Hungary

The 3rd FORESDA project meeting took place in Sopron, Hungary, between the 6th and 7th of September, hosted by the Zala County Fundation for Enterprise Promotion (ZMVA) and the University of West Hungary within the 9th Forestry and Wood Fair - InnoLignum.  The University's visitor center, Ligneum was the place where the actual meeting took place. Ligneum is a three-storey building in the middle of the university's botanical garden, an excellent place to organize an event. The consortium meeting started on the 6th of September, with the presentation of the activities of work packages such as management, communication and it continued on the 7th of September, with a detailed presentation of the pilot programmes of all countries and activities linked to the good implementation of the project.

The consortium members had the opportunity to visit the Natural Resources Research Center (NRRC) of the University of West Hungary, where the most relevant research fields include nano technology, special material testing, wood modification, alternative energetics, robot technology and environtment protection. As an ending of the meeting in Sopron, the project partners visited the 9th InnoLignum Fair, where different professionals got together, where they had the opportunity meet with exhibitors and discover new forestry machines.

The 4th project meeting will take place in Bucharest, Romania, between the 21st - 23rd of November, within the 6th National Cluster Conference & 8th Balkan and Black Sea Conference. More details will be announced soon.
