5TH PERIODIC MEETING - STILL ONLINE ONLY

As the pandemic situation is still not behind us – actually squeezing now Central-Eastern European Countries stronger than during the first phase – Dareffort events  and conferences can not be hold as planned.

Originally the 5th Periodic Project Meeting was due on October, in Zagreb, capital of Croatia, followed by the Danube Forecasting Forum (DAFF) at the same venue.

Partners and project leaders agreed to organise an online conference for the periodic project meeting, while postponing the DAFF session, hoping that it may take place in 2021, having the chance to meet in person on the 6th and final periodic meeting.

The 5th Periodic Project Meeting will be held 5-6 November 2020, with the help of the Webex application. As the 5th period was one of the busiest parts of the project, with several project elements (EnviroNet software, common vision of cooperation, e-learning course, economic impact analysis) earning a tangible form, project partners will have a lot to discuss and demonstrate virtually to each other.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SPINS UP IN PERIOD 5

DAREFFORT ENVIRONET is going to be a free software, open sourced under GNU General Public License. In the past month, the software is getting closer to its final form, testing takes place and a thorough documentation is under preparation. Already a few screenshots are also available, which suggest that a useful and comprehensible application will support the success of DAREFFORT.
