THE DANUBE S3 CLUSTER PROJECT, PRESENTED AT THE EUSDR NATIONAL FORUM 2019 - Bucharest

 
 

On October 28th, 2019 Monica Măgureanu - Communication Manager of the Danube S3 Cluster project presented the project within the EUSDR National Forum 2019. During this event was handed over the Romanian Presidency of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region to Croatia. The Forum took place at the Parliament Palace in Bucharest, being organized in partnership by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

 

The project "Danube S3 Cluster" was presented during the parallel session on the topic: The role of public administration in the implementation of EUSDR. Within this session there were discussed several aspects regarding the projects financed by EUSDR implemented by local and regional public administration.

The MID-TERM CONFERENCE, The 3RD EDP FOCUS GROUP & The 3rd Steering Commitee of the project, organised IN MOLDOVA

 
 

Between the 1st - 2nd of October, 2019, the Moldovan Technology Transfer Network, project partner within Danube S3 Cluster organized in Chișinau, Moldova, the Mid Term Conference of the project, the 3rd Entrepreneurial Discovery Focus Group and 3rd Steering Commitee of the project. 

 

On October 1st it took place The Mid Term conference – Cluster support for digital transformation in Agro Food Sector and 3rd Steering Committee of the project. During the conference Cluster support for digital transformation in Agro Food Sector were discussed the legal framework, national and European policies in the fields of agriculture, clusters and the process of digitization were presented and debated. Good practice models were also presented on the topic of Digital Innovation Hubs, the case of Slovenia, as well as the opportunities for financing the technological transfer provided by the National Agency for Research and Development of the Republic of Moldova. At the 3rd Steering Committee meeting the project partners have discussed the main activities conducted, emphasizing the progress made and looking for solutions to the issues appeared in implementation.

 

On October 2nd, 2019 was organized the 3rd Focus Group of Entrepreneurial Discovery on the topic of Open Innovation in Clusters. The EDP offered the participating clusters and regional stakeholders the opportunity to bring together the potential for knowledge and innovation through collaboration and mutual learning in a transnational process, thus allowing the exchange of know-how and good practices.

THE 4TH ENTREPRENEURIAL DISCOVERY FOCUS GROUP – MARKET INTELLIGENCE IN CLUSTERS, ORGANISED IN ODESSA, UKRAINE

 
 

On 23rd of October took place in Odessa the 4th Entrepreneurial Discovery Focus Group – Market Intelligence in Clusters. During the event, was debated the cluster approach to regional development in the Danube Region with particular focus on the Odessa Region. The participants actively discussed new and promising business cooperation projects in the agricultural sector of the Danube region. The participants got acquainted with the achievements of the Wine Cluster (Vladimir Osipov, IMPEER) and the developments of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies (Solonitskaia Irina).

BARCAMP BOBLINGEN 2019 - DANUBE COMPETITIVENESS IN PRACTICE EVENT

 
 

Between October 18th and 20th, 2019, at Herman Hollerith Zentrum, Böblingen, Germany, barcamp Böblingen was held, a concept presentation of project ideas in the field of pitch digitization. Gabriel Vladut, representing the Danube S3 Cluster project and Romanian partner - IPA Craiova, proposed a pitch on the topic "Smart farm - digitization for the benefit of agri-foodstuffs", keeping the topics of innovation, technology transfer, smart cities / urban regeneration in terms of SMEs. The pitch was followed by discussions on this topic, with participants from Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania, who demonstrated their interest, the existing expertise along the Danube.

AGRICULTURE 5.0: A NEW VISION FOR AGRICULTURE IN BADEN-WÜRTTEMBERG

 
 

Realizing that although species extinction and climate change are constantly under discussion, only few concrete solutions are eventually being implemented, the think tank Agriculture 5.0 (Denkfabrik „Landwirtschaft 5.02) developed a new system for agriculture and green urban areas. This think tank, based in Offenburg (Baden-Württemberg, Germany), is composed of 5 universities, 6 scientific institutes, 12 companies, the city of Offenburg and 15 farmers who wish to promote a new agriculture compatible with the Paris Agreements. Pilot actions will be implemented in 15 farms in Offenburg and the Ortenau district.
