SAVE THE DATE - INSIGHTS FINAL EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE HEART OF SLOVENIA
Partners will meet for the last time within the INSIGHTS project in Slovenia. The meeting will take place in Litija and Šmartno pri Litiji between May 27 and 29, 2019, hosted by Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia. It will include a public Final Event with media coverage introducing selected key speakers talking about green, slow and healthy tourism and presentation of project results. The agenda and more information regarding the Final Event will soon be available on the INSIGHTS project webpage.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN CENTRAL ISTRIA
As part of a significant local event called “Honey Days” in Pazin, a panel discussion titled “Authentic Istra: Specifics and Potentials” was held. The panel discussion was organized by LAG “Central Istria” as one of the activities in the implementation of the INSiGHTS project. Its aim was to consider the further development of the destination, which includes the area of three tourist boards – Central Istria, municipality of Motovun and municipality of Žminj.
In the framework of INSiGHTS project a national roundtable meeting was held in Lenti under the title ”Healthy Town – Healthy Region”. Several prominent speakers introduced their projects and activates. The situation, potentials and plans for the tourism development in the region as well as in Hungary were addressed.
OVER 50 CITIZENS INTERESTED IN BECOMING LOCAL TOUR GUIDES IN LITIJA
Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia, within the framework of the INSiGHTS project pilot activities, organized a workshop for local tourist guides. The response to the invitation was unexpected – over 50 people from the region applied and attended the event.
Experts from the Slow Food International Tradition Movement for preservation of the culinary traditions, representatives of municipalities and regional administration, media and citizens were acquainted with slow, green and healthy tourism in Plovdiv during Gastro fest and Farm Market, held in February.
