NEW CHAPTER OF THE RESTI PROJECT

Dear readers,

The final output of the project is to establish an innovative learning system aimed at increasing employability and quality of ReSTI projects (research, social and technological innovation): 11 partners from 9 countries created the “ReSTI.academy” – a pilot curriculum and online learning programme devoted to spreading excellence in ReSTI management, leadership and administration. After several months of preparation, many meetings and workshops, various ideas and proposals, the process of calling and selecting the best candidates, ReSTI.academy has come to life. Lecturers, representatives of the ReSTI project consortium and attendees gathered in Eisenstadt to meet and start a new chapter of the RESTI project.

Two days full of learning, networking, and gaining skills for innovative project management: University of Applied Sciences Burgenland’s Campus Eisenstadt, Austria, turned into a networking hub for 25 young project managers on October 1-2, 2018. The event kicked off a one-year pilot blended learning programme, the “ReSTI.academy”, in which students and trainers will work together on testing and improving a five-module curriculum.

The kick-off event in Eisenstadt culminated in an open-to-public presentation of the unique ReSTI “Five Door” Blended Learning Approach developed exclusively for this project. As, Regina Rowland (FHB) explained, “The five doors provide an opportunity to self-direct the learning process and adapt it to one’s learning preferences”.

Pilot participants have heard opening words from module/course developers, collected useful advice and went through interesting workshops to prepare for five modules as well as five door approach to learning.
