Companies and research institutions from the countries of the Danube region are now able to exchange products, materials and resources for reuse on a new online platform, and to build cooperation networks to promote the circular economy.

This platform (http://danube-goes-circular.eu/), including a virtual marketplace, was launched by the European Interreg project MOVECO, with partners from ten countries in the Danube region. The international consortium also offers interested stakeholders a toolbox for implementing circular economy concepts in businesses and organisations, while also informing them about relevant topics, such as extended producer responsibility schemes in the various countries.

Circular Economy Toolbox – get involved!

The MOVECO project team is currently working at finalizing the MOVECO Circular Economy Toolbox. It is designed to help companies on their way to implement the circular economy – no matter whether they are circular economy beginners or already have circular economy concepts in place. It will contain the following four modules: information support, qualification programme, collaboration tools and financing tools. The information support tools consist of the MOVECO brochure and checklists for SMEs that help to check the circular economy status of the company and explain important terminologies. The qualification programme provides background information and workshop material on the following topics: principles of the circular economy, schools of thought, business skills for green entrepreneurs, EU legislation, business models and new material pathways. They can either be used as single modules, in combinations or all of them together – as needed by the target group. In addition, the toolbox provides information on collaboration tools and financing tools, including a mapping of funding options, information on public private partnerships and the concept for an investors day. Stay tuned for further information!

If you are an intermediary or a SME and would like to try parts of the toolbox, please get in contact with us. More information will be soon available on our website.
