Seed money facility call

Originally scheduled for March 29, 2024, the new submission deadline is now set for April 3, 2024, 14:00 PM CET.

New funding opportunity within the Danube Region Programme open!

EUSDR Seed money facility (SMF) shall serve as a tool for kick-starting development of projects in line with the 12 priority areas of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region. Proposals submitted under the SMF call shall be aligned to at least one EUSDR PA and shall clearly address the EUSDR action plan and targets.

What is the objective of the SMF call?

The objective of the seed money facility support is to prepare projects for further funding sources, regardless the financial instrument to be addressed by the project developed, be it national, mainstream EU, transnational or cross border or by any other public or private investor (such as IFIs) or public-private partnership available in the Danube Region.

The developed projects shall be:

  • Complex – projects which are comprehensive of different actions/activities meant to address wide scopes;
  • Strategic – relevant for the Danube area, where the relevance is linked to core needs expressed by the Danube countries and endorsed by the Monitoring Committee;
  • Transnational – the effect of the project should go beyond the local/national need and address the wider Danube area in a macro-regional approach.

The DRP offers its financial support in achieving the above mentioned objective, in line with the provisions of its Specific Objective 4.1.
