DANUrB+ - SAVE THE DATES! INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS’ MEETING AND STUDY TRIPS IN HUNGARY, SLOVAKIA, AND AUSTRIA

The DANUrB+ International Partners’ Meeting will be held between 10th and 15th October 2021 in Hungary, Slovakia, and Austria. The Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava are hosting the event and have planned Study Trip to the Northern Section of the Danube on October 10th and 11th, Project Partner’s Meeting with Workshops in Bratislava on October 12th and 13th, and Western European Study Trip in Austria during October 14th and 15th.

Esztergom will be the birthplace of the “DANUrB International Association”. On October 11th, 2021, it will be founded by partners and stakeholders, aiming to continue the legacy and sustain the “DANUrB” cultural heritage” and to introduce the DANUrB Quality Label at an international level.

The International Partner Meeting will focus on topics such as the common development potentials in peripheral and border regions along the Danube, planned and developed local plans for effective heritage valorization, implemented school programs involving young people to valorize local heritage. On focus will be the stakeholders’ networks and cooperatives, as well as the capacity building of local SMEs network. DANUrB values will be further discussed, and stories shared during the presentation of the future tours and documentary films.  Cultural tours, site visits, and city walks will liven up the tight program.

The event will bring together participants from all partners’ countries – Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Slovakia (organizations, associated partners, journalists, and stakeholders). The 5-day agenda welcomes an overflowing program of activities, visiting a lot of settlements and attractions, which are considered as good practices to be followed. Komárno, Kolárovo, Szob, Šamorín, Bratislava, Eisendstadt, Petronell-Carnuntum, churches, technical heritage, water mill, new sport complex, Roman heritage, tasting local specialties, etc., are just a tiny part of all the places and things to do along the pre-scheduled route.

A parallel workshop will be dedicated to journalists/ influencers from the participants countries as they will play an important role in the implementation of the DANUrB+ project. This will be a continuation of the successful first meeting and involvement of journalists that the project conducted in the previous conference in Sombor. All the activities, including conferences, meetings, workshops, and study trips will be organized in compliance with the epidemiological measures.
