Seed Money Facility Call closed - 65 applications received

The very first Seed Money Facility Call of the Danube Transnational Programme opened on 2nd October 2017, and after more than 2 months of accepting submissions, it closed on 7th December 2017. As explained on the information event in Vienna, the Call was aimed at funding the project preparation phase, so that after a successful implementation, projects can apply for further funding to a wide range of funding instruments. The Seed Money Facility is  one of the direct financial supporting schemes that the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) offers to support the EU Strategy for the Danube Region   in reaching its targets.

As of the deadline of the call, altogether 65 applications were received. The majority of the Lead Partners come from Bulgaria (18), followed by Hungary (16) and Romania (12). Other Project Partners - similarly to the Lead Partners -  typically come from  Romania (35), Bulgaria (31) and Hungary (30).

The most popular Priority Area (PA) addressed is PA 8 - Competitiveness of Enterprises with 13 applications. According to the Call description, a total of 1,530,000.00 EUR funding is going to be allocated to the approved applications with a co-financing rate of 85%, coming from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) and the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI). Projects will have 12 months for implementation.
