Changing minds, increasing awareness of the local and cross-cultural values, working on quality, and uniting stakeholders and local communities. DANube Urban Brand+ is about that. The project aims at the creation of a DANUrB+ Quality Label, and ultimately, an enlarged Danube Cultural Promenade. 

Identification of heritage sites will continue within the DANUrB Platform (www.danurb.eu), an online tool created within the DANUrB project. The platform provides efficient mapping and information on both heritage sites and stakeholders, as well as good practices along the river. 

As shrinking urban situations often entail the decay of the built environment, creating an economical vicious circle, the ambition of the project is to initiate local physical interventions. 6 pilot actions will be initiated over the three sections of the Danube: upper, middle, and lower Danube. The pilot sites (building, public space) will be selected according to their potential positive effect on the whole urban development and in close collaboration with the local communities. The objective is to provide planning, technical measurement, and documentation, so that those pilot sites are ready for funding application realization!

A documentary movie will be produced to raise awareness of cross-cultural and cross-border values, promoting slow life and local values.

Three new audio guided tours will be delivered, whether as city tours or cross border tours. Those tours will provide local communities with a valuable tool for the development of tourism and grow awareness of populations for their own heritage.

As Education of the young generations is essential for a deep and long-term mind change, guidelines will be created for educational programs, and a DANUrBanity game will be developed to raise awareness of the local values.

Most important, all those activities will be held in close relation with the local communities: mapping of resources, collaboration with stakeholders are the heart of the DANUrB+ strategy.  

The goal of DANUrB+ is the creation of a Danube Cultural Promenade Action Plan by all existing and newly formed regional and interregional initiatives and projects working in heritage valorization of the Danube.
