RADAR - RADAR Road Safety Infrastructure Training continue in Croatia!

10-04-2019

Following successful reception of the first RADAR Road Safety Infrastructure Training in Slovenia, RADAR project partner Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences (FPZ) has organised and held the second round of RADAR Road Safety Infrastructure Training in Croatia from 2nd to 4th April 2019. Training were exceptionally received, and the attendance was beyond every expectation. We are very proud to state that the group of the attendees represented road authorities, national stakeholders, decision-makers, NGO’s and every other institution having an interest in making roads in Croatia safer.

Undoubtfully, the training enticed great interest, acquainted target groups with RADAR goals and methodology and hopefully inspired people to make a difference.

The training was led by Bojan Jovanović of PP FPZ, dr. Marko Ševrović of Lead Partner – European Institution of Road Assessment EuroRAP and Jure Kostanjšek of PP AMZS who managed to keep interest up in all three days and the attendance and the interactivity didn’t subside even on the third day.

FPZ provided the classrooms with the computers for the 2nd and 3rd day so that the quality of trainings was improved with the ability of participants to encounter Star Rating, Risk Mapping and Safer Roads Investment Plans directly from ViDA webtool with the real-life exercises on Croatian roads.

Interactivity and discussions on relevant road safety issues is proving to be a great formula for raising awareness on latest trends in road safety, which RADAR aims to promote on all levels of the Danube region. Hope to see you in our next destination for the RADAR Road Safety Infrastructure Training!
