NETWORLD - Press conference in Zenica

Department for Development and International Projects of Zenica-Doboj Canton (SSRMP IPA PP2) under WP2.2 (Communication plan and Dissemination) organized a Press conference of the NETWORLD project on 9th May 2018 at the Zenica City Museum, aiming to attract the interest of stakeholders relevant to the topics of the Project, and ensure their involvement in the future Project activities.

The purpose of the event was to communicate project activities and results to wide public through media coverage (press conference) that will result in general knowledge of public about Danube Transnational Programme, NETWORLD Project, about WWI and possibilities to use the history as cultural touristic heritage.

The Press conference was organized for Local Public Authorities, Higher Education and Research representatives who can contribute to preservation cultural heritage of the World War One with economic and social influence, Interest Groups including NGOs, media representatives, students and general public.

Media coverage of the workshop was excellent, as many of the invited media representatives made their presence at the conference. Relevant TV stations, newspaper reporters and web portal reporters and editors participated in the Press conference.

The participants of the conference reacted very positively to the presentation of the project. Media representatives stated that it was a great opportunity for most of them to witness the presentation of such a significant project, and that the history of the Danube area was not left forgotten. Most of the participants of the conference expressed interest to participate in some future activities of the project.
