JOINTISZA - Have your say! - Establishing a solid basis for working together in the Tisza River Basin

17-10-2017

Why are we consulting you?

Our aim is to have an updated Integrated Tisza River Basin Management Plan (ITRBMP) that is based on shared knowledge, experience and scientific evidence, including widely acceptable solutions for river basin planning. To obtain a better overview and understanding of modalities for working together effectively and efficiently with key stakeholders, the JOINTISZA project is reaching out to interested groups and individuals through a survey. We would like to hear from stakeholders regarding their interests and envisioned level of participation in the development of the updated Integrated Tisza River Basin Management Plan (ITRBMP).

We would appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete the questionnaire so that we can plan our future consultation methods for drafting the ITBRMP.

Period of consultation extended to December 20, 2017.

Submitting your contribution:

Please click here to complete and submit the online questionnaire, which is available in English.

The results of the questionnaire will be fed into the “Public Involvement and Participation Strategy”, which will help the JOINTISZA project partners and involved RBMP planners in carrying out an active information, consultation and involvement process. The overall aim is to ensure that anyone who is interested can contribute to river basin management planning and help create a supportive social environment for implementation of the Joint Programme of Measures (JPM).

Target groups

We welcome contributions from people and organisations whose environmental or business interests might be affected by decisions on how water resources are used and protected in the Tisza River Basin, as well as from those whose activities might have an impact on these waters. We are also interested in hearing from anyone interested in or concerned about the Tisza River Basin’s water status and aquatic environment.

Your feedback is much appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Note

The REC will use the information you provide in developing the updated ITRBMP. We will use your personal information to contact you during the consultation period. We may make your information available to members of the JOINTISZA project partners. You might be approached with further detailed questions as part of the national stakeholder involvement process, and later as part of the basin-wide process.
