Over fifty participants from 9 countries discussed in Sofia the future of the Danube region at a conference organized by WWF Bulgaria. Innovative solutions, supporting livelihoods and business opportunities in communities with low economic status in the regions along the Danube River were the focus of the international conference “Local Economy and Nature Conservation in the Danube Region” (LENA).

SECOND NATIONAL AGRICULTURE CONFERENCE “SLAVONIKA”

 
 

On the Faculty of Agriculture is held the Second National Agriculture Conference “Slavonika” with motto inspire agriculture. The Conference was organized by Association Land and People. On this one-day Conference there was more than 350 participants – representatives of family farms, associations, academia, institutions, students and media.

MORE THAN 350 CITIES IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE CELEBRATED EARTH HOUR

 
 

Bratislava/Budapest/ Sofia/Bucharest/ Kiev - With the official support of over 350 cities across Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine, thousands of people celebrated Earth Hour in Central and Eastern Europe. Well-known landmarks and facades of government buildings turned dark to shine a light on climate action.

DANUBE SOYA FIELD DAY- FROM NON GMO SOYA TO NON GMO MILK

 
 

In the frame of LENA project, Danube Soya Association together with partners organized „Danube Soya Field Day- from NON GMO soya to NON GMO milk” in Lugovo (Gornje Podunavlje) , which gathered over 200 soybean producers, input providers, processors, traders, feed and food companies. The Field Day was attended by local authorities and representatives from protected area.

SECOND OFFICIAL LENA MEETING IN SZOMBATHELY, HUNGARY

 
 

The meeting was mainly related to the results of the recent works in the frame of the project, as well as to the upcoming activities in the thematic work packages, including an overview of progress on the guidance documents, a general overview of e-bike technology, discussion about the requirements for e-managers and presentation of the results of data collection arranged in the recent months.
