Project progress overview (January - September 2017)

The DANTE project which facilitates the reduction of time losses and unnecessary financial burden to IWT caused by ineffective administrative regulations & processes is progressing very well. Officially started on 1 January 2017, the DANTE consortium consisting of public authorities, consulting companies, universities and NGOs from 10 European countries is making important steps towards the achievement of the project’s goals. 

The DANTE partnership was extended with a new project partner, HUNPASS, the Hungarian Federation of Passenger Fleet Operators which took over the roles of the former partner MAHOSZ – Hungarian Shipping Federation. Changes have also been recorded as well as with regard to the associated strategic partners, where Pro Danube Serbia has joined the DANTE Team. Read more

Official launch of the transnational iwt Barrier reporting tool

The DANTE team is happy to announce the official launch of its transnational IWT barrier and good practise reporting tool, one very important tangible project result. The transnational reporting tool is the first output of the DANTE project that is setting the background to collect inputs from the IWT stakeholders. This innovative, multi-language tool enables the state-of-the-art way of mapping the every-day barriers of the IWT actors.

dante is one of the first nine eusdr strategic projects selected and validated by the national coordinators

On 13 June 2017, the EU Strategy for Danube Region (EUSDR) National Coordinators have conferred the “EUSDR Strategic Project” status to nine projects, showcasing the successful progress, joint efforts and commitment of the Danube Region countries and relevant stakeholders in implementing the Strategy through projects.

DANTE selected to be part of the real people - real stories pilot project promoted by the danube transnational programme

The DTP JS recently started a pilot project entitled „Real people-Real Stories”, whose objective is to present the projects through their target groups, by interviewing them, what their needs are, the challenges they are facing in their daily work / life, and then how the project helps them. As DANTE has very tangible outputs, the opportunity was very well exploited in order to show to a wider public what the project is doing and how it is contributing and helping the IWT sector.

National working table meetings - keeping close contact with stakeholders

A key element of the DANTE project is to get the national stakeholders (public and private) actively involved in the identification and analysis of inefficient procedures and processes which burden the IWT users and cause time loses as well as generate extra financial costs. In this respect, the first round of national working table meetings organized in six Danube countries provided an excellent opportunity for an interactive discussion.

DANTE project promotion and dissemination at international events (April - September 2017)

The DANTE team is using the opportunity to promote and disseminate the project activities to the wide audience at relevant events and discussions throughout the Danube region. In doing this, between May and September 2017 the DANTE partners participated at national and international events where massive interest was generated among private IWT stakeholders.
