Successful Networking event in Slovenia

 
 

In the beginning of October we had successful networking event in Moravske Toplice, Slovenia, with networking of professional stakeholders across Europe and within the Amazon of Europe. During networking event project partners and interested stakeholders presented themselves, discussed cooperation opportunities with each other and exchanged many examples of good practices..

MURA, DRAVA, DANUBE - THE LARGEST PROTECTED RIVER AREA IN EUROPE DECLARED BY UNESCO

 

The International Co-ordinating Council of the UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme (UNESCO MAB-ICC) designated the Mura-Drava-Danube Transboundary Biosphere Reserve (TBR MDD) as the world’s first 5-country biosphere reserve. Stretching across Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Serbia, the reserve covers a total area of 930,000 hectares extending along 700km of the Mura, Drava and Danube rivers, which makes it the largest riverine biosphere reserve in Europe.

5TH SCOM IN MORAVSKE TOPLICE, SLOVENIA

 
 

Our project partners met in Moravske Toplice, Slovenia from 5th to 7th October for the 5th Steering Committee meeting and field trip. Main aims of the meeting were to review project progress in the last period per each workpackage and to clarify any ambiguities or questions regarding the project. Host of 5th SCOM was Municipality of Velika Polana.
