PILOT ACTIONS - DANUBE S3 CLUSTER PRESENTS THE LOCAL ACTION PLANS ELABORATED WITHIN PROJECT

 

 

One of the main objectives of Danube S3 Cluster project is to support the cooperation between clusters and the actors of the Quadruple Helix, especially higher education and research institutes. As a result, 5 pilot projects are implemented by partner countries, namely: 

  • In Romania, IPA Craiova is implementing the Local Action Plan on Healthy Food;
  • In Bosnia & Herzegovina, NERDA is implementing the Local Action Plan on Open Innovation in Clusters;
  • In Croatia, EKO-SUSTAV is implementing the Local Action Plan on Business Models that Work in Circular Economy;
  • In Serbia, FTS is implementing the Local Action Plan on Business Models that Work in Circular Economy;
  • In Slovakia, BEC is implementing the Local Action Plan on Healthy Food.

In order to inspire cluster representatives in agro-food sector, we dedicated this newsletter to present the local action plans developed within the project.

LOCAL ACTION PLAN ON HEALTHY FOOD IN SLOVAKIA

 
 

Bioeconomy Cluster (Slovakia) in close cooperation with the University of Maribor (Slovenia) is implementing one of the Local Action Plans of Danube S3 Cluster project. The focus of this LAP is on Healthy Food and the objective is twofold: (i) to propose solutions to challenges faced by primary producers using TR/TO approach, (ii) to seize the opportunities in digitalization of agri-food sector in Slovakia and to prepare the ground for the establishment of Digital Innovation Hub.

LOCAL ACTION PLAN ON HEALTHY FOOD IN ROMANIA

 
 

Virtual Cluster for bioeconomy (Romania) is implementing one of the Local Action Plans of Danube S3 Cluster project. The focus of this LAP is on Healthy Food (including agriculture, agro-food, functional food, new food products, healthy and nutritionally enriched and smart agriculture) and the objective is to propose different tools and services to enhance successful commercialization of research results in this field, develop specific innovation support services, enhance mutual learning and capacity building and finally assess the opportunities to foster a sustainable Joint Action Plan (JAP) for Innovation and Technology Transfer for 2021-2027 on the basis of existing structures and good practice and to prepare the ground for the development and partnerships for Digital Innovation Hub.

LOCAL ACTION PLAN (LAP) ON OPEN INNOVATIONS IN AGRO-FOOD CHAIN IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

 
 

Development Association NERDA (BiH), in close cooperation with Innovation Technology Cluster - ITC (Slovenia), is implementing one of the Local Action Plans of Danube S3 Cluster project. The focus of this LAP is on Open innovations in Agro-food sector and the objective to propose innovative solutions to problems that the agricultural producers and food processors are facing.

LOCAL ACTION PLAN ON BUSINESS MODELS THAT WORK IN CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN SERBIA

 
 

Faculty of Technical Sciences is implementing local action plan on Business models that work in circular economy in Serbia. Aim of the LAP was to develop the ideas of cooperation, internationalization, open innovation, general strengthening of clusters and close cooperation with R&D in sector of circular economy and general. Four project ideas were selected and actively promoted through meetings. Three cooperation agreements have been established within the LAP and ideas are further disseminated to clusters related to agro-food sector in Serbia.

LOCAL ACTION PLAN ON BUSINESS MODELS THAT WORK IN CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN CROATIA

 
 

EKO-SUSTAV Ltd. (Croatia) in close cooperation with the IFKA (Hungary), Steinbeis 2i (Germany) and University Novi Sad, (Serbia) is implementing one of the Local Action Plans of Danube S3 Cluster project. Focus of this LAP is on Business models that work in circular economy in Croatia and the objective is Connecting Agro-food cluster member companies and to develop projects proposals to better use energy and circular economy solutions.
