On the 8th of December, the Municipality of Oradea organized an international conference with the title “After 100 years of Art Nouveau, European Renovation Wave Meets Heritage - An integrated approach to energy efficient retrofits of historical buildings”. The event was organized within the Art Nouveau 2 project, financed by the European Union, through the Danube Transnational Cooperation Programme.

The conference provided the opportunity to debate on an integrated approach, which is facing the energy efficiency demands and resources as a suitable transition, with guidance for the choice of the most effective measures.

The event was organized in hybrid mode, with physical and online presence. There were a large number of speakers, from various countries of the Danube region – Romania, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia - practitioners and scholars representing professional associations (Romanian Order of Architects, Austrian Federal Chamber of Architects and Engineers, Architect’s Council of Europe), universities (Technical University Cluj-Napoca, Technical University Bratislava, University of Ljubljana), and relevant public institutions (Ministry of Regional Development, Public Works and Administration from Romania, National Institute of Heritage Romania).
