ISTER - The ISTER project was presented during the transnational conference of the Art Nouveau project 2

During the transnational conference of the Art Nouveau 2 project, organized in Belgrade on December 6, 2022, by the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, the goals and key activities of the ISTER project were presented.

Both projects are implemented within the Danube Transnational Programme and promote the importance of cultural heritage for the development of the Danube region and cooperation between the countries of this region.

The Art Nouveau 2 project aims to strengthen the cultural identity of the countries of the Danube region based on the common heritage of Art Nouveau through various educational programs, exhibitions, online lectures, catalogues and guides for tourists, as well as short films.

During the final conference, numerous programs and contents created in the previous two years of project Art Nouveau 2 implementation were presented, as well as the cultural heritage of Serbia from the secession period and how it is protected and presented to the public.

Marija Janjić, manager of the ISTER project for Serbia, addressed the conference participants and presented the ISTER project's goals and key elements.

 

The ISTER project aims to rediscover and revive the ancient network of Roman roads and settlements along the Danube region. ISTER promotes this network of roads and settlements as an opportunity to strengthen the Danube region's territorial competitiveness and sustainable growth by creating a new VIA ISTER eco-cultural route - Follow the Romans along the Danube Region!
