Yesterday, on 30st August we continued with our rapid testing activities in elderly homes in the frame of pilot activity. We have been guests in our biggest elderly home »Danica«, where they take care of more than 600 residents. There, they live a very pleasant and vivid environment.

We tested residents and employees with rapid tests for celiac disease with the aim of early detection of this condition, which affects 1-3% of people and in 80% remains undetected causing many complications. These tests confirm the diagnosis from a fingertip blood sample within ten minutes. Rapid testing on celiac disease among the residents was organized in three »working groups«.

The results will be published after the testing is completed. We attend to visit two more homes in autumn.
