On March 30th, the Bulgarian DREAM ROAD partner AMALIPE organized the largest national meeting of educational Roma mediators. The DREAM ROAD project was presented among innovative practices in the field of Roma education. The meeting was attended by more than 120 educational mediators/facilitators as well as partners from RIS Mansion Rakičan, Zala County Regional Development Agency Nonprofit Ltd., Nevo Parudimos Association, Terre des Hommes Moldova, Zala County Government. Mediators from different countries participated during the meeting and shared their experiences in the field work.

In addition, during the meeting Atanas Atanasov from PP AMALIPE presented the learning laboratory developed within the project. The learning lab is a renovated school bus equipped with laptops, TV, multimedia, sound equipment and a fully equipped doctor’s office. Students from the school, supported by teacher Vladimir Ivanov, completely renovated and built the mobile learning lab. The equipment was purchased within the Dream road project. The mobile learning lab aims at innovative approaches to facilitate digital, information and functional literacy, where strong collaboration of Roma communities, public authorities as well as local communities at large is key to success.
