On the 8th of June, the Danube Commission Workshop '17 took place at the Secretariat of the Danube Commission in Budapest.

Within this framework, an active exchange of ideas and fruitful discussions have been enabled between the Danube Commission (Secretariat and Member states), Navigation Companies and Key Stakeholders, with a strong emphasis to improve the circumstances for the Danube river transport.

The currently on-going inland waterborne transport-related projects from different programmes have also been presented with special focus on the initiatives co-funded by the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP). In this respect, three projects of the DTP Thematic Pole 7 – Waterways have been presented by means of the DANTE, DAPhNE and Green Danube projects also as elements contributing to the implementation of the Green Deal for Danube River Transport policy initiative.
