eDigiStars - eDigiStars LABEL tool Workshop
15-01-2021
The workshop, aiming at developing the third tool of the project - LABEL, was held yesterday by the partners from BIZUP. The tool targets various actors in the territorial ecosystems (Labor offices, SME associations, Chambers of commerce, Business supporting actors). It develops the quality assurance system of the elderly workforce by awarding those who meet quality criteria with eDigiStars LABEL. It also provides comprehensive guidance in the creating of awareness and building trust among employers from different industrial segments.
After a welcome intro of the WG leader a short introduction round was moderated to get an overview about the competences and experiences of working group members with certification process. This resulted in very different and rich competences and experiences. The working group includes experience in training, human resource development and management, scientific expertise in psychology, experience as an educator, in career development or as a training centre manager, as well as experience in projectmanagement and marketing. In a next step WG leader gave some theoretical input into the competence areas andcompetence levels of digital skills based on “The Digital Competence Framework of EU”. The goal was to give an overview about the basis on which the working group isgoing to build up the LABEL tool. In the discussion we agreed that it is very importantto coordinate this basis of competence levels and competence areas very closelywith the other two working groups (POWERYOU and CAMPUS), as they are interlinked.
After the theoretical input WG leader prepared an interactive part with a selfassessmentabout job-related digital skills and additionally a short test to get anoverview about the real level of each participant on digital skills. Both are also based on the discussed competence levels and competence areas.
After a short break we discussed the results using Conceptboard. It gave an overviewabout the own assessment of digital skills and the real level based on the test results which was most cases one level lower.
During the following discussion about starting level and target level of our tool we spoke about different labels for diffent levels (i.e. basic, intermediate, advanced), potentially an entry test to set up the starting level of each participant and offer the best course option, a lower level for employees versus a higher level for selfemployees. Using the conceptboard tool we tryed to find a suitable level for our LABEL tool.
In a first conclusion, we have agreed to reach intermediate level 4 or advanced level 5 for elderlies with little experience in digital skills and workers with little access to education as our defined target group. Knowing that our own competency levels in digital skills, with some years of work experience and some academic training, are mostly in the range of intermediate level 3 to advanced level 5. This needs to be discussed with all other project partners. After summarizing we discussed the open task for the next activities and the next workshop already fixed on 09.02.2021 and answered questions.
