On 23rd of October took place in Odessa The 4th Entrepreneurial Discovery Focus Group – Market Intelligence in Clusters.

During the event, was debated the cluster approach to regional development in the Danube Region with particular focus on the Odessa Region. The workshop was held in the framework of the Interreg DTP project “Danube S3 Cluster” and hosted by the Institute for Market Studies, Economics and Ecology of Ukraine’s National Academy of Sciences.

The participants actively discussed new and promising business cooperation projects in the agricultural sector of the Danube region. The participants got acquainted with the achievements of the Wine Cluster (Vladimir Osipov, IMPEER), Developments of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies (Solonitskaia Irina).

The Ukrainian project team worked together - Oleg Rubel, Hanna Tiutiunnyk, Alina Zhikhareva in collaboration with the Financing for Social Change project team Alexander Laiko, Olga Yermakova.

Executive director of Center of Regional Studies Igor Sudennikovhad had the opportunity to talk about outcomes and outputs from our project on agro-ecological clusters as a tool for sustainable rural development in the Odessa Region that was implemented with financial support from GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and in cooperation with the Agro-ecological and recreation cluster “Frumushika-Nova” (Yurii Melnyk).
