D-STIR - WORKSHOP: Time Management and Useful Modern Tools
09-04-2019
Romanian Partner Horia Hulubei National Institute for Research and Development in Physics and Nuclear Engineering hosted in February the workshop: Time Management and Useful Modern Tools. The event is part of the activities under the Danube Framework for Responsible Research and Innovation through Socio-technical Integration (D-STIR) Project implemented by IFIN HH / ELI NP.
Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) is a modern approach to the two areas. The method proposes anticipating and evaluating potential implications and social expectations for research and innovation in order to help them become inclusive and sustainable.
RRI implies that the participants to the process (researchers, business people, NGOs, decision-makers, simple citizens, etc.) work together during the innovation research process in order to better relate the creative process and its results with the values, needs and social expectations.
One of the variables of this responsible research and innovation process is time management. During the workshop, there were also presented some useful tools for an efficient use of time dedicated to research activities and others. We attached the presentation.
The role of RRI is to ensure that research and innovation work takes place in a social, ecological and ethical form. The RRI general term is still relatively unknown and there is a serious lack of knowledge and information on this subject. But many steps have already been taken to overcome this. One of them is also the EU D-STIR project of the Transnational Danube Program.
The D-STIR project has taken concrete steps towards a research and innovation strategy that is responsible for improving the Danube area framework conditions for innovation. 8 countries in the Danube area, partners in this project have actively cooperated with stakeholders (businesses, research / universities, civil society and public authorities ) to create the content of the RRI Strategy for the Danube area.
