Students from Croatia awarded for innovative product period. by International Housewares Association

Innovative students from Faculty of Architecture have designed an interesting ecological product named period. - women's hygiene product. Period. enables women to use organic cloths pads easily and allows practical cleanse and dry in about 5 – 6 hours. The product consists of three parts: cleaning cloth, drying box and a cloth pad. The system is designed to wash the cloth inside the box. The cleansing box is not only ergonomic but also aesthetically beautiful and at first glance, it doesn't show the purpose of the product.

Compared to standard pads or tampons, cloth pads are not only more environmentally friendly but according to research, healthier for women's health. Period. is globally recognised and was awarded at an international competition organized annually by the International Housewares Association, a Chicago-based American household goods designer. Students won the award for the project period. in the competition of 300 student projects from around the world, and they are the first two award-winning competitors from Europe.

Project period. will be exhibited at the annual Chicago fair from March 2nd to March 5th 2019, where young designers will be able to present their product not only to well-known designers but also to potential investors.

We wish them good luck!
