DA-SPACE - Local Demo Day at University of Galați, Romania

30-05-2018

On May 24th the Open Innovation Lab from “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati (UDJG OI Lab) gathered 30 young talents together at the Faculty of Engineering (room D12) for the local Demo Day – the final event of the first cycle of the entrepreneurship training, within the DA-SPACE project.

The local Demo Day brought interactive presentations of innovative ideas addressing nine seekers’ challenges (five being developed by private companies and four by a research centre). Two challenges have been approached by two teams of solvers each, which led to eleven co-creation projects presented at the event. Building on the innovative solutions to the challenges, the local Demo Day was a chance for the eleven teams of solvers to put their solutions on display and outline how they can contribute to the awareness of UDJG OI Lab in the Romanian innovation ecosystem.

The team who won the local Demo Day presented an innovative solution to the challenge “Growth hacking techniques to promote a Learning Management System (LMS) aiming to enhance the interaction between academia and employers”. The seeker (TheCon S.R.L. Galati, Romania) was proud to collaborate with such talented and dedicated solvers from Growth Hackers team (Enache Georgiana, Pintilie Dragos si Patriche George). This team will represent UDJG OI Lab at the International Demo Day, which will be hosted by UNIPU Oi Lab from Croatia, in June 2018.

UDJG Open Innovation Lab looks forward to be a catalyst for future collaborations between academia, business actors and public institutions and remains confident that the second local Demo Day will encourage more seekers and solvers to share their innovative ideas and solutions.
