Made in Danube - Kick-Off Meeting for the project Mobilization of corn cobs as energy source and improvement of heat generators concerning environmental impacts

On March the 23rd a Kick-Off Meeting was organized at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad, Serbia, for the project Mobilization of corn cobs as energy source and improvement of heat generators concerning environmental impacts (co-financed by German Environmental Agency, DBU). German project partners from the Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH) and the Faculty of Technical Sciences (FTS) were invited.

The new R&D project is - similar to Made in Danube - related to biofuels, i.e. utilization of crop residues & corn cobs as renewable energy source for heating. The main objective is to find innovative solutions to improve heating appliances of two domestic manufacturers regarding the reduction of pollutant emissions.

The colleagues from TUHH were informed about topics and activities and the expected results of Made in Danube. Further invited was a representative of the company Termoplin which has been involved in the project Made in Danube since the beginning and is one of the prime candidate to sign an Innovation Partnership Agreement which is one of the main outputs within the project.
