Geo-data are a key instrument for strengthening the digital business and science location Baden-Württemberg, the Federal State Minister for Rural Development and Consumer Protection Hauk stated in his opening speech for the 2017 LGL-Forum, where the new Geo-Portal for Federal State of Baden-Württemberg was presented. This geo-portal was developed by the Federal State Agency for Geo-Information and Territorial Development (LGL) and will be activated on 20 November 2017 at the address: https://zk.geoportal-bw.de/de/startseite. It provides free access to geo-data for administration, business, science and the general public and it is also great source of data for assessing the territorial attractiveness of the region.
