AgriGo4Cities - Urban agriculture: innovative participative experience

The 6th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region was held at Congress Centre in Budapest. The yearly gathering took place on 18 and 19 October with the joint organisation of Hungary (Presidency of the EUSDR in 2017), the European Commission and the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP).

The conference entitled ‘A secure, connected and prospering Danube Region’ attracted more than 1200 participants and it served as a closing event of the Hungarian Presidency of the EUSDR.

The summary of the event, the Joint Statement of the Ministers responsible for the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and the photos taken during the Forum are now available online.

The Forum was also a perfect opportunity to promote our AgriGo4Cities project and to spread the information of the project’s outcomes.

AgriGo4cities’s project leader dr. Jani Kozina participated at the workshop Pole 11 Participatory and local governance. The main aims of the workshop were to find ideas for fostering participation of stakeholders in the Danube Region and to find synergies and mutual benefits between TP11 projects and EUSDR PA10.

Mr Kozina talked about the project, whreas our external expert dr Janez Nared held the presentation on Participation experiences and challenges at macro-regional and local level with emphasis on the Danube region.

The presentations were followed up by working group discussion Defining further activities of Thematic pole 11 projects regarding Capitalisation strategy.
