ATTRACTIVE DANUBE - The Second Hungarian National Workshop

On 13 September 2017 Lechner Knowledge Center with participation of the First Hungarian Responsible Innovation Association has organised the Second National Workshop on developing territorial attractiveness monitoring system in the framework of the ATTRACTIVE DANUBE project. In the morning session, participants heard presentations on topics such as:

  • Indicators for measuring territorial attractiveness (Jaschitzné Cserni Tímea - Lechner Knowledge Center)
  • The relationship between territorial attractiveness and digitalisation and security (Bence Zuti and Balázs Mogyorósi – FHRIA)
  • The Smart City Settlement Assessment System (Szemerey Samu - Lechner Knowledge Center).

The aim of the workshop was to work with the participants on the selection and finalization of suitable indicators for measuring territorial attractiveness. Additional purpose was the promotion of the Hungarian territorial attractiveness platform which will be established in the upcoming months, as well as the involvement of the Hungarian stakeholders in the process at the widest possible range.

In the second part of the workshop, participants gained practical knowledge about the use of the National Spatial Development and Spatial Information System closely related to the data platform with the guidance of Lechner Knowledge Center’s spatial data analyst, András Nagy.

The closing event of the workshop series is expected to take place in the Knowledge Center in December 2017, where audience can test an interactive, mapping web platform based on commonly selected indicators and get ideas on how to use it in their own work, whether governmental, entrepreneurial, or even the academic sphere.​
