Win a ticket for Slush - present your idea to local competition

 

The Embassy of Finland in Serbia and the Innovation Fund of Serbia for the third time in a row have enabled domestic start-ups to present their ideas in the area of sustainable innovation at the local Slush competition and qualify for participation in the ten-day program of Slush Global Impact Accelerator (GIA) at the two-day Slush Conference which will be held in November and December in Helsinki (Finland). Slush Conference, one of the largest of its kind in Europe, provides the opportunity for startups to be presented to numerous investors and companies, while the Accelerator program gives them the opportunity to improve their skills and business ideas.

 

At the Slush Conference (www.slush.org), startups have the opportunity to present their ideas to international investors and the professional public. Last year, this two-day conference brought together 17.5 thousand visitors from 130 countries, including more than 2,300 start-ups and 1,110 investors. This year, the Slush Conference takes place from 30th of November till 1st December.

 

Slush Global Impact Accelerator - GIA (www.slush.org/gia) in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and international organizations, including the Innovation Fund in Serbia, organizes a program of support for startups to develop their business ideas, establish a network of contacts, linking them with investors and potential partners, as well as presenting their products at the Slush Conference. The program includes work with mentors before the Conference and the local preparatory program (boot camp) in the period from 22 November to 2 December. Last year, 40 startups from 21 countries participated in the program. All travel and accommodation expenses are covered the Finnish organizer.

 

The local Slush competition in Serbia will be held on September 6 in Belgrade in Scientific Technology Park "Belgrade".

S All interested startups can apply for a local competition by September 1, 2017 through the Application Form on the link: http://www.inovacionifond.rs/Slush/. The theme of this year's competition is sustainable innovation. Ideal candidates for the competition are startups that develop genuine and sustainable solutions to burning issues - without sectoral and geographical constraints; Have experience and growth potential; Skills and the desire to achieve success; A business idea that has attracted interest, but it is still at an early stage of development, as well as a prototype in the working phase. The working language of the competition is English. At the local competition, the jury will select three teams, and Finnish experts will choose the winners among them. Serbia is one of 20 countries around the world in which local competitions will be held during the summer.
